Grandpa Milne is a very busy man all the time. So he likes to keep the girls busy doing something also, and he could use the help. Today he asked the girls to go and pick the raspberries. Haylee and Brooke spent an hour picking the raspberries and got a million mesquito bites. However, when they came back from the raspberry patch, this was all that was left. Grandpa failed to tell the girls to come back and share the fruits of their labor. I guess if we want fresh raspberries we will have to go and pick them ourselves next time.
When grandpa found out we were coming for the summer, he saved this chore for the girls. He needed his swing set painted. Haylee and Raychel had a fun time painting. I don't have picture yet, but Kylee has been assigned to mow the lawn every Wednesday, and everyone has taken turns picking and shelling the pea patch. It has been so much fun doing all of the "chores" this summer.
