It was such a beautiful Saturday afternoon, so we called our friends; Shannan, Kaitlyn, Rachael, & Malia Howell to come climb our wall and hike up to the oasis and have a picnic. Can you believe this is February? We just love our "winter" weather here! It took us about 3 hours round trip and had a great adventure. The picture of us shows the view looking back into the city of Indio, where our new home is. These palm tree oasis grow here because we are sitting on a major fault line that runs through our valley and provides a natural stream. So yes, when the big earthquake hits we will be swallowed up immediately. What a ride that will be. Since we have moved here, there has been a few earth shakes occur already. But don't let that stop you from coming down to visit and see these beautiful desert palm tree oasis!
